Modelling the amazing friendship of Rami and Bassam Muslims and Jews from across Sydney met and ate together

The exceptional friendship between Palestinian Bassam Aramin and Israeli Rami Elhanan inspired Sydney Jews and Muslims to meet and get to know each other better. Muslims from a number of countries ate and talked with Sydney Jews after listening to Rami and Bassam’s powerful story.

That evening a sell-out crowd was raptured by their conversation with Michaela Kalowski in Darling Harbour.

One of the most important messages they share, especially with audiences who want to know how they can make a difference, is “We dont want you to be pro-Israel or pro-Palestinian but we demand that you are pro-peace and against injustice.”

You can catch them in Arabic (with English subtitles)on SBS Arabic https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/watch/2199113795747
