[The Tripartite Committee on Incitement (USA, Israel, Palestinians) was part of the Wye River Agreement (1998) but has been moribund. Abbas recently acknowledged that Palestinian incitement exists and called for the Commission to be reactivated. Israel refuses, probably because a revived Commission would address not only Palestinian but also Israeli incitement, undermining Netanyahu’s contention that all guilt lies with the Palestinians and Israel is blameless.]
