Middle East peace may remain out of reach, but at least the Hebrew and Arabic languages have found a compromise. The merged alphabet, designed by an Israeli typographic designer, is based on a fascinating discovery made by a French ophthalmologist in the 19th century. Includes explanatory video [2:02].
