Elor Azaria’s appeal begins with first hearing – Yoav Zitun – Ynetnews 03.05.17
The Military Court of Appeals has commenced hearing Azaria’s appeal against his conviction for manslaughter. Although fresh evidence is seldom admitted on appeal, his attorney, Yoram Sheftel, is seeking to adduce new evidence to support the claim that he was denied natural justice due to selective enforcement, referring to 17 incidents in which IDF soldiers shot and killed innocent people and did not stand trial.

More information about the new evidence sought to be adduced was supplied in a Haaretz blog by ‘John Brown’ on 04.05.17 (Hebrew). See here an English translation by Keren Rubinstein, courtesy of Sol Salbe.
