Census shows drop in number of Jews in Australia

Number of Australians identifying as Jews for census purposes has dropped from 97,336 [0.5%] in 2011 to 91,000 [0.4%] in 2016.



But Jewish demographers have long believed the unofficial number of Jews to be higher than the official census figures for several reasons - see here for example on the 2011 census figures.
