Israel Prize winner David Rubinger, whose lens captured key moments in Israeli history and helped define the nation's collective conscious, dies at 92.

Rubinger’s respect for his subjects opened doors to him that were closed to other photographers. The most remarkable example of this is his famous photo of Menachem Begin putting a shoe on his wife Aliza’s foot, on a plane.
