These Summer suggestions were prompted by Caroline Rothstein’s brilliant performance at Limmud Fest in November 2016 on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Joy Ladin, the author of the first essay, is a transgender professor at Yeshiva University in Manhattan – for more about her see here.
