The United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan are reportedly planning to have former Gaza strongman Mohammed Dahlan replace PA President Mahmoud Abbas. Objectives are said to include weakening Hamas, strengthening Fatah and concluding a peace agreement with Israel with the backing of Arab states.
