Ultimately, if we want our rights as a religious minority protected, if we want Jews wearing traditional head coverings to experience equality and respect, if we want tolerance for our own public forms of observance, it behooves us to fight for Muslims to enjoy the same things without fear or discrimination. The bottom line is this: Islamophobia isn’t good for the Jews.
