Palestinian with Israeli roots wins Jordan’s first Olympic medal – JTA 19.08.16
Ahmad Abu Ghoush, a 20-year old student from Amman, beat Russian Alexey Dinisenko to win Taekwondo title in the men's 68kg category. Though born in Jordan, his Palestinian family's roots lie in the Jerusalem-area village of Abu Gosh.
