It's hard for Itzhak Perlman to count all the decorations and medals he's received, including three from different US presidents, but winning the Genesis Prize, which will be awarded to him in Israel along with a million-dollar cheque, he finds particularly moving, but also something of a headache. 'It's a very Jewish prize, because everybody wants a piece of it,' said the violin virtuoso, who overcame polio and never backed down from fighting any kind of discrimination.
