It was with great horror that I read Mark Oppenheimer’s piece, The Specifically Jewy Perviness of Harvey Weinstein, published in the Tablet last week. Oppenheimer likened Weinstein – now accused of numerous instances of sexual assault and other perverse behaviour – to Roth’s infamous character Alexander Portnoy

Though I am shocked and disgusted by the scope of his alleged predation, the fact that he may have abused his position of power does not surprise me in the least
