The military aid MOU is really a victory for Obama over Netanyahu and his conservative supporters in Washington—quieter than the Iran deal but arguably as decisive. Obama said in his signing statement that the US will continue to press for a two-state solution, ‘despite the deeply troubling trends on the ground that undermine this goal’, a view he reiterated in his last UN speech and at his recent meeting with Netanyahu.
