Renewed push to annex West Bank settlement

The municipal jurisdiction of Ma’ale Adumim, the settlement in question, is as large as Tel Aviv and includes the highly contentious E1 area. If E1 were annexed that would cut the north of the West Bank off from its south, very seriously affected the contiguity of any future Palestinian state. The proponents of the bill say they may be willing to exclude E1 from the present bill to help secure its passage.
