Debate over free speech implications masks implied position over settlements
JJ GOLDBERG There is an ugly debate in US Congress over a bill that makes it a federal crime to call for boycotting Israel. Civil libertarians argue it would threaten free speech while the bill’s advocates claim it doesn’t outlaw anybody’s personal views. Both sides have a point.
