Who's afraid of Saul Alinsky and why? – Jake Romm – The Forward 22.02.17
While the Chicago born son of two Jewish Russian immigrants made a name for himself as a community organiser, he is most famous now for his 1971 book ‘Rules For Radicals’. Alinsky’s community organising principles are used in Australia by, among others, The Sydney Alliance, a coalition of community organisations, religious organisations, unions and schools that includes the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, the Australian Union of Jewish Students and Emanuel Synagogue.
