Established in 2015, Plus61J Media provides an independent voice on Australia, Israel and the Jewish world. Our vision is to create an informed, engaged, diverse and socially-aware Jewish community.
Whether it is the Israeli, Australian or other governments, civil society or popular culture, we apply a critical lens to political and public debate, with a particular focus on issues of social justice and inclusivity. Our coverage challenges orthodoxies and pushes boundaries within the Jewish world, while acknowledging its complexity. Guided by an editorial team committed to high-quality journalism, we draw on some of Australia’s best writers and nurture new voices to bring a diversity of views to the issues that matter to Australian Jews. You can learn more about our editorial impact.
In addition to our bi-weekly publication and social media channels, Plus61J Media plays an active role in Australia’s Jewish community – be it through public programs (see our 2023 Rami & Bassam tour), surveys on public opinion (see Crossroads21) or through our annual Colin Tatz Oration.
