In the 1970’s and 1980’s Phillip Walker was a member of the Palestine Human Rights Campaign. Prior to outbreak of the first Intifada, he travelled in the region between the river and sea. In South Africa in the 1990’s he met his life partner, a Litvak Jewish woman, who deepened his understanding of the Jewish perspective. As a Greens member, in the 2007 federal elections he was the candidate for the seat of Melbourne Ports and in the 2010 state election for the seat of Caulfield. Phillip and his partner now reside in central Victoria.
